Dream Trip to Macau.

Macau has always has a spot in my list of countries to visit. I am quite an enthusiastic Korean entertainment fans and Macau has always been a location they shoot in. For example, Running Man, Boys Before Flower and Fated to Love You, just to name a few. Need to say more why I want to go to Macau??? Thanks to Nuffnang, my dream to travel there might come true earlier than expected!

Here's the THREE most amazing things about Macau that really intrigues me!

1. Bungy Jumping from Macau Tower

The beautiful Macau Tower.

Bungy jump off Macau Tower overseeing the whole city, life can't get any more AMAZING than this!

Adrenaline has always been a necessity in my life. I've tried most of the extreme sports available in Malaysia: Skytrex, ESCAPE park, extreme water sports (parasailing, banana boats), jungle trekking, river trekking, mount hiking and etc. It's about time to step up the game for a more nerve-racking extremity - JUMPING OFF 233 METERS OF A BUILDING! Say whaaaaaat?! The fact that Song Jihyo (Running Man) did it makes me wanna do it even more. Girls are not weaklings! Still holding the record for world's highest bungy jumping, I don't want to wait until i'm old and weak to try it! Live while we're young, says One Direction!

2. The Venetian Macau

Shooting of Fated to Love You in Venetian Macau.

Casts of Boys Before Flowers taking a gondola ride in Venetian Macau.

This place is so so so romantic I want want want to visit here so badly! This is like a mini Venice in Asia. Europe trip has to wait until I start earning my own income, so how about a Venetian Macau as an appetizer first? :3 Dramas like Boys Before Flower and Fated to Love You both filmed here and it only makes me want to step foot there, see it with my real eyes, and experience for myself the romantic atmosphere there! Not to mention the casino there, it will defintely be an eye-opener and a lifetime experience!

3. UNESCO Heritage Site

The Ruins of St. Paul

Senado Square

A map provided online to stroll through the whole "Historic Centre of Macau".

Macau's architectures has so much to offer from the influences of the past western architectures as well as the traditional Chinese architectures. All the historic sites offers so much to learn for the tourists to know the history of Macau better.

The UNESCO Heritage Sites include: Barra Square, Lilau Square, St. Augustine's Square, Senado Square, Cathedral Square, St. Dominique's Square, Company of Jesus Square and Camoes Square, A-Ma Temple, Moorish Barracks, Mandarin's House, St. Lawrence's Church, St. Joseph's Seminary and Church, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library. St. Augustine's Church, "Leal Senado" Building, Sam Kai Vui Kun Temple, Holy House of Mercy, Cathedral, Lou Kau Mansion. St. Dominic's Church, Ruins of St. Paul's, Na Tcha Temple, Section of the Old City Walls, Mount Fotress, St. Anthony's Church, Casa Garden, the Protestant Cemetery and Guia Fortress.

So much to see, so much to learn.
Besides having fun, the most important part of travelling for me is to learn and understand better about the culture and history of that place.

Life is too short to worry too much. To me, the best kind of life is to graduate with a degree, get a mediocre job and settle for life. Steady, stable and boring. Meh. Not until I discover Nuffnang and the joy of blogging, they let me realize how far life can bring me as long as I'm willing to give it a try! No dream is too big to achieve! So here I am, blogging about this. I'm ready for you, Macau!

So please choose me, Nuffnang? :D

Looking back..

At the age of 21, I had quite a rough and rebellious teenage years.

My parents are always worried about me. Puberty and the so-called teenage fantasies hit me hard. I did most kinds of silly things a teenage girl shouldn't do! Thinking back about it, its really silly and childish. But hey, its true when people say "at the end of the day, you only regret the chances you didn't take". Now I can proudly look back and laugh at my old self while recalling how far I've come in life. I am considered lucky because I had a super amazing and awesome sister to guide me back to normalcy(?) I guess. She is the most rational and inspiring person in my life. Like the spark of light at the end of tunnel :)

Hence, hands down the person I'm most grateful to has to be my sister, Sor Yeung. She is the reason why I'm doing what I'm doing now. Living my life. :)

Yes, we do silly things together like flexing! Haha

Leaving home to pursue my tertiary education, I realized the importance of family ties! Because at the end of the day, they are the one that got your back and will never turn their backs against you. Thank god for DiGi that kept us connected 300+km away from each other.

Remember last year when I lost my smartphone due to theft and I was stranded all alone in Penang, away from my family in Klang. My sister was the one that came to my rescue. Although she wasn't present physically, she did her best to help me out via every possible routes (senior friends, fb, etc). Heck even my iDiGi Plan now is subscribed under her name, as a replacement for my lost phone :') And now, I'm happily connected to my family members. Talking to them over the phone, especially my sister, has been a routine and I'm thankful for the super low rate that comes with DiGi Plan.

Of NNFoodFest!

"NNFoodFest was such a fun event! This has got to be one of the best happenings in 2013!"

Hello readers! So I went back to Klang Valley last week for Nine Emperor prayers. Coincidentally, NNFoodFest is just a day after! This perfect timing was planned months back as soon as NNFoodFest was announced! I was so excited about it since its the first of its kind event.

Time flies and I really cannot believe its over already! NNFoodFest withdrawal symptom kaokao! :'(
As of now, let pictures do some talking ::

Thanks Suzanne for picking me up and bringing me along to collect Churpie plushie right after I arrive in Sunway :))

I swear I felt like a superwoman because I was in bus for 5 hours from Penang to Sunway, then 1.5 hours from Sunway to Nuffnang's office then back to Klang and another 4 hours from Klang all the way to Ampang and back again! Sore butt.

That night of welcoming the arrival of the Nine Emperor's Festival.

Reached home at 1am and got up (not so early) the next day to prepare for NNFoodFest! Thank god the event wasn't early in the morning!
Sis was dead tired. Thanks for (still) accompanying us :D

We were so early because we were damn ganjiong about the parking in Sunway Pyramid lol

Date of the day : Suzanne (and sis heh)

NNFoodFest where you tweet and eat - tw(eat)!
I am vegetarian for 10 days because of the Nine Emperor Festival, hence there were alot of foods that I didn't get to taste (yes, it was a regret) but nevertheless, I had loads of fun and I still got full from all the desserts and snacks! Omnomnom.

Let the feast begin!

Some of the vendors at NNFoodFest (which I visited) :

Royal Post serves coffee, cheesecake and macaroons.

Weird ice-cream flavours from Cielo Dolci.

Couldn't taste the Brilliant Nasi Lemak so they served us dessert instead!
Yums. :)

Juiceworks was there too!

Nbrew's nitrogen ice-cream!

Macaroons from Lifetime (Astro).

Crazy Potato's fries!
The wasabi flavoured one was crazily good!

Vinegplus's fruit vinegar to clean the bowel after a few hours of feasting.

There were alot more vendors which I didn't get to try because either they serve meat, or I was too full to eat anymore. And there were a lot that I forgot to snap pic because its too delicious to not eat it right away! My biggest regret has to be not being able to taste mini burgers, Nando's, bagua and the Thai foods!

Thank you Utoospowerbank and Nuffnang for the free power bank! :D
(p/s : only at Nuffnang you get free foods and free gift! I am a very proud Nuffnanger :D)

Crowd of the day!

Foods aside, the highlight of the day has got to be meeting this couple!
Audrey (fourfeetnine) and Timothy!
So honored to have a picture with this inspiring couple!

Mr.Good Guy!
Cannot deny the fact that Timothy sets the bar of being a good husband/boyfriend too bloody damn high!

Followed the itinerary of NNFoodFest as we did woke up early for our morning workout the next day!
ENOUGH OF PARTY, NOW BURN OFF ALL THE CALORIES!

If you missed this event, I'm really sorry to tell you that you missed one of the best event in 2013!
Let's hope Nuffnang will organize another Food Fest in the future! ;)

Review : Skytrex.

Three days after coming back from Penang, I made my way to Bukit Cahaya for a getaway with Skytrex! So much thanks to Nuffnang for having me there. :)

Well, this is not my first time going for Skytrex. I went once few years back with my EXCOs and we went for the Big Thrill Challenge. This time, I tried the Extreme Challenge instead :))

To be honest, Extreme Challenge isn't too different from Big Thrill. It's just that Extreme Challenge has higher heights and more number of obstacles. Personally, I prefer Big Thrill over Extreme Challenge because I find the ending of Big Thrill is slightly more dramatic (where u end with flying fox) while the ending for Extreme Challenge is a bit.. meh. Maybe I'm a tad bit more extreme, so I expected more.

If you are an adventurous person, I strongly suggest that you go for Extreme Challenge! Climbing upwards to the height is no joke! It wears you out, in a good way :) And no, fear of height is not a problem because when you're up there, all you focus on is on the obstacles instead of the height.

I was thankful for the weather that day. No sunblock needed at all. :)

chilling with fellow bloggers before the challenge.

Nuffnangers with Nuffies :)

Before we start the challenge, we were briefed by very experienced instructors there about what we were about to go through. Everything was explained in detail and the instructors were all friendly. Gloves and water are strongly recommended for Big Thrill and Extreme Challenge. Fret not if you do not have them. They are selling it at RM3 per pair and renting a bottle holder for RM1.

Briefing.

waiting for the gloves and water holder.

The instructor fixing my harness.

the Extreme Challengers, ready to roll!

Another briefing on the tools and demo session before we get started.

And thus, we started with our challenge and I was among the first few that went in. One person is allowed to do each obstacle at a time and three person maximum is allowed on platform. So if one person got stuck, everyone at the back will be stalled too. If you don't like waiting, don't go with a gang of unfit people. Haha *no offence*

I was only smiling because of the camera.
Was pretty serious clearing the obtacles..

LAST OBSTACLE - The Tarzan Swing!

Faces of the completers!

In the end, we were presented with certificates by the Skytrex team.

So grateful to have kehpoh there with me! :)
She did the Big Thrill!
Read her entry here :)

A group picture to end the day!

Happy bloggers going home :D
